running running running jenwa. i spent all day dashing about and trying to deal with perplexing issues. i got alot done, surely, but it was distinctly not-restful. at work, at gm meeting, for the Shire, and even in the MITSFS where i had a visitor for the first time in forever, who even bought a membership and took out some books. well, that last wasn't that perplexing, but still. more perplexing was the discovery that the henna tattoos we bought in Salem on Tuesday [with Laura!] needed 6 hours for the paste to set and then 6 more hours to sit with the henna on your skin. which means we don't have time to put them on Chad for Legends this weekend, the reason we bought them in the first place. ah well, we have them for next time. and this way we can practice on me where it won't matter as much.
meanwhile, i hearby impart these words of wisdom: never go to Salem on Tuesday. especially with a guest when you've never been there before and aren't sure what to expect and can't remember the name of the place you wanted to try going to and on the coldest, dampest day of the last month and with your nice, but slightly grumpy significant other who doesn't like making decisions. but even without these things, don't go on a Tuesday. because half the things will be closed. apparently Monday and Tuesday are their modified weekend, and Tuesday even more than Monday. d'oh. still, it was nice and interesting wandering around, i thought. cool graveyard.
oh damn, very sleepy. oops... and the spray-painting smell from the next room has given me a small headache, after less than a minute of exposure. Legends is such a pain the butt. but cool anyway. :)
well, Chad's out of town tomorrow 'til Sunday evening. i wonder how strongly that correlates with more entries. we'll see. one more Legends weekend and we'll have a reasonably sample size. though if i'm smart i'll keep developing things to do while Chad's gone. damn, should have thought to contact some people to see if they would want to get together Friday night... bit late now, considering it is officially Friday already... argh. need to try to remember for next time. though at least i'll see them next Wednesday for dinner.
