argh. i can't believe i forgot to save.
so, i had two nice long paragraphs of an entry, all about going to the gym and being happy and responsibility at work and being happy and listening to rock'n'roll like The 'Mats, Patti Smith, Led Zeppelin, and Sixteen Horsepower and being happy. and then i went out to dinner. and forgot to save. and ssh and/or geomancer timed out. so now i have no more entry. mrr.
but, ah well. this will have to do. very tired, so, short.
damn, i just realized that i forgot to ask a parting question last entry. i must have been really exhausted. whoops.
huh. so i don't even have a ready-made topic i should ramble about. well, then i'll share a piece of trivia with you that i just heard from one of the other participants in Dinner. there are only 8 sports teams in the NFL, NHL, NBA, and Major League Baseball whose name does not end in "s". surprisingly, i could come up with 6 out of 8 of those fairly quickly, and had heard of the 7th. not bad for someone incredibly out of touch with sports and who has never cared about any of them except in passing because someone i knew did. here they are, before i forget: Wild, Red Sox, White Sox, Jazz, Magic [actually, Chad came up with this one, and i'm not sure i would have been able to], the Heat [this one too... guess i'm not that into basketball... probably because MN didn't have pro basketball for most of my childhood] Avalanche [the one i missed but had heard of], Lightning [the one i just hadn't heard of... a newish, consistently mediocre hockey team from Tampa Bay, apparently]... damn, i'm forgetting one... typical. anyway, i hadn't ever realized that sports team names are almost all plural. though it does make sense.
i can't believe i'm talking about sports. team sports even. i've never
been much into team sports. i'm not against them or anything, i just don't
particularly care. and i have an academically-oriented person's resentment of
sports funding and focus [read: obsession... my high school was cursed with
good sports teams, bah...] in the school system. me, i much prefer individual
sports. like swimming. i love swimming, and swam for the first time in
quite awhile today. i should go to the gym more often, because i feel good
after having gone. like how practicing piano used to feel when i was growing
up. i never wanted to do it, but once i started i always enjoyed it
thoroughly, and felt good afterwards. [
okay, i'm clearly sort of inane today, and i've very tired, so i think i'm going to stop.
parting question: what the fuck happened to spring?!
